The animations are based on the gamification rewards system: Mario welcomes the user with a welcome greeting in the morning and, as time progresses and the accumulated steps advance, he proposes a different animation on the dial when reaching each stage of the daily goal (25%, 50%, 75% and 100%).
These animations take the form of famous Super Mario objects: at three o’clock the Super Mushroom that makes Mario grow, at six o’clock the Tube that allows him to travel fast and at nine o’clock the Super Star lights up making him invincible! When 100% of the daily step goal is reached, Mario climbs the flagpole, another iconic feature of the video game.
Even externally, the TAG Heuer Connected Limited Edition has been designed with subtle and exclusive references that will make Super Mario fans happy. The notches of the bezel, the buttons and the logo on the crown proposed in the famous lacquered red color of the Super Mario cap make it a prominent model in the Connected collection. The bezel features three iconic symbols at three, six and nine o’clock, referencing the Super Mario objects included in the animations of the dial that the user can unlock and discover only when he reaches certain objectives during the day.
The new 45 mm steel case is equipped with two interchangeable straps, both with the iconic Super Mario red color: one in elegant black leather on red rubber and a sporty alternative in perforated red rubber.
